Internship with Sievert Electric Service & Sales – Forest Park Illinois

Company Overview

Sievert Electric Service & Sales is a commercial electrical construction company based in Forest Park Illinois, a Chicago suburb. Sievert Crane & Hoist is a division of Sievert Electric and has significant experience with special projects, including government work for cranes and hoists, and electrical construction. We are a growing, diverse company and we are looking for an Summer Intern in our Special Projects Department. Qualifications

  • A current full-time student who is in their junior or senior year or a full-time graduate student
  • A recent graduate
  • Majoring in engineering or management with a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Must be able to show proof of legal work authorization to participate in an internship in the United States prior to the start of the internship.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency speaking and writing in the English language.
  • Must possess good writing skills and the ability to recognize grammatical and factual errors.
  • Must have a strong interest and/or experience in marketing/advertising.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize, write and edit Technical Documents in a clear and concise manner.
  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content.
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature.
  • Assist PM in Monitoring project plans, schedules, and work hours to ensure timely completion of critical project tasks.
  • Creating and delivering regular communications to project stakeholders.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Assess project risks and issues and communicate to management.
  • Undertaking project tasks as required
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain composure and focus under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Travel

This is 100% “in-office” position with no travel requirements.
