ANTH 201 INTRODUCTION TO ARCHAEOLOGY AND WORLD PREHISTORY. Using super engaging in-class demonstrations, the course is a fun introduction to archaeology and human prehistory, from the earliest Homo sapiens to the development of agriculture and states. The course is perfect for students interested in adding a class outside their major. Castillo teaches this course using a fun and interactive format where students observe ancient technologies and in-class experiments (no labs) to experience archaeological science firsthand. This year, Castillo is also conducting archaeological fieldwork locally, and the students will receive lectures based on my experiences at the site.
