SIGMA Industrial Engineering Career Fair | Student Information!

The SIGMA Industrial Engineering Career Fair is quickly approaching on Monday, September 9th in a hybrid format! Please read below for information about the event.

The SIGMA Industrial Engineering Career Fair is a great opportunity to seek internship, co-op, and full-time positions for students. This year’s fair will be run in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual meeting options. The fair is open to only IE students, and all Undergraduate and Graduate students are encouraged to attend. Check out the full list of companies, including Lockheed Martin, RTX, Siemens, PepsiCo, and many more on the CareerFairPlus website or app!

When and where is SIGMA?

The SIGMA IE Career Fair will be held in-person at the Purdue Armory Monday, September 9th from 9AM to 3PM. There will be a map for the in-person fair available on the Career Fair Plus website and mobile app. The virtual portion of the fair will be held through Career Fair Plus on Monday, September 9th from 6PM to 9PM.

How do I attend?

At the in-person fair, you may walk up to the companies of your choosing and speak with their representatives. At the virtual fair, you must schedule an appointment on Career Fair Plus to speak with companies.

How do I use Career Fair Plus to schedule appointments / view the map?

To schedule appointments, you must create a Career Fair Plus account using your Purdue email. If you do not use your Purdue email, you will not be able to schedule appointments for the fair. From the app, you will be able to see the companies in attendance for the in-person and virtual fair (and sort by majors recruited, GPA requirement, Visa status, etc.). Here’s the link to make a student account. If you have never used Career Fair Plus or want a quick refresher, here’s a link to a video walkthrough. The window to schedule appointments for the virtual fair opens Monday, September 2nd at 8AM.

What do I need to bring / wear / prepare?

Come prepared with copies of your resume and a well-prepared elevator pitch. Dress in business casual attire (polo/blouse and slacks or equivalent).

Please refer to the Career Fair Guidebook, or reach out to the Career Fair Director, Derek Grissom (dkgrisso@purdue.edu), for additional information and answers to any questions you may have.
