What you’ll do

The H&W Platform Central Industrial Engineer (IE) implements the manufacturing and network strategies for the H&W family of brands (KIND, Nature’s Bakery, trü frü and future acquisitions), working as a ‘catalyst for change’ to optimizing performance and drive value leadership initiatives. They shape the manufacturing solutions for the business innovations in line with business priorities and targets. 

What you’ll bring to KIND

  • Strategy and Network
    • Accountable for network analysis and assessment to shape supply solutions for optimizing cost and efficiency across all North American H&W business units, translating into a 1-to-3-year roadmap. 
    • Lead management of capacity to secure long term product supply through appropriate levels of utilization.
    • Ensure strategic alignment between supply manufacturing strategy and business and financial targets for all BUs [i.e. COGS improvement, supply manufacturing capability vs growth and innovation ambition]
  • CAB Management
    • Accountable for central CAB budget administration – be responsible for tracking actual performance and spend vs plan (liaising between Supply Finance / BU counterparts, central H&W team, and Mars Snacking Global IE team), annual CAB reports and identifying opportunities to drive operational and financial improvements. 
    • Support and lead submission of and gaining of approval for capital investment projects related to capacity and/or innovation activities across H&W.
  • Operational Excellence 
    • Through internal and external benchmarking, set operational (and hence financial) targets for each technology & enable global review of performance through BU Step 3 reviews.
    • Drive Value Leadership, initiating and driving game-changing workstreams to optimize our networks and support H&W to become a more efficient, agile, and lean business.

You are…

  • Experienced in Project Management
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain and Manufacturing process and procedure, preferentially CPG/Food
  • Effective relationship management – internal and external
  • Systems knowledge: MS Office (especially excellent Excel knowledge)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel 10 – 30% of the time

You have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Business Administration or significant equivalent experience.
  • At least 3-5 years professional experience in Industrial Engineering, Production or Finance area.
